Our Stay At: Current Hotel Tampa

Hello and Happy Sunday, Friends! If you’ve been following along via instagram lately, you probably remember when we stayed at The Current Hotel in Tampa not too long ago! I received so many messages asking about this hotel! It’s that good, yall! Honestly, one of our new favorite hotels! Not just because of the amazing views and rooms or the delicious drinks they serve at the rooftop bar, but because the service was exceptional! The hotel is large (not small like a bed and breakfast) but still had a “small boutique” hotel feel. The staff recognizes who’s staying there, everyone is so friendly, the pool, restaurant and bars are not too overly crowded. It’s great, really. Not to mention the interior design at The Current is amazing. Keep reading and I’ll go into more detail about our stay and share some pictures too!

Checking In

Our check in was so easy, we pulled up right to the front and the valet took our car and helped us up to our room! The girls at the front desk were seriously so sweet and gave us a quick run down of the amenities and where things were located in the hotel. We walked outside to check out the pool real quickly because it was so beautiful out! Right in the lobby The Current as has a gift shop that’s an extension of Oxford Exchange. If you’ve never been there- OE is a restaurant and champagne bar located in Tampa as well. They have a massive store and library to shop in while waiting for a table and The Current has it’s own mini Oxford Exchange store right in the lobby! The cutest gifts ever! We all actually picked up a few last minute things for Christmas gifts while there!

The Rooms

Holy Moly these rooms were INSANE!! We had a corner King room and the views were incredible. All rooms with a bay view had floor to ceiling windows and were stunning!

The ROX | Rooftop Bar

We had so much fun Saturday night at The Rox before dinner! My parents were with us and my brother actually just moved to Tampa so he came and met us too!

Main Floor | Dining Options

Current’s restaurant: The Julien. We didn’t eat there, but it looked delicioussss!!

Coffee Bar

This was the little coffee bar inside the hotel. It’s brewed from Buddy Brew coffee, which my brother told me is a local coffee shop in Tampa too! I really love how Current Hotel incorporated so many “local” aspects to their hotel.

Lobby Bar:

Since we went upstairs to The Rox we didn’t hang out by the lobby bar, but this place was poppin on Saturday night!!

Here’s a pic of the outside of the hotel- it was soo cool!

The view from the gym!

Alright, signing off here! Hope yall enjoyed this little tour of The Current Hotel. If you’re planning a trip to Tampa any time soon, I highly suggest staying here! I give it a 10/10 across the board and we certainly can’t wait to go back!
