Good Morning ! Thanks for stopping by today, soo excited to share our powder bath makeover! This bathroom sits right off of the main living and entertaining area so I knew I wanted to do something fun with the place! It really is amazing what a different style sink and vanity can do to a bathroom! If you’re looking to change the vibe of a bathroom, but don’t want to change everything the vanity is what would make the biggest difference in my opinion. Wall paper or paint could do that too, but I think a different vanity or sink would give the illusion of an entirely different bathroom. Keep scrolling for some before and afters, links to everything and more details on our walls and wallpaper!
We used Wall Snobs and the name of this paper is Wonder-Palm This temporary wallpaper is AMAZING. Not only is this print soo good, but all you have to do is spray water on the back of it and it sticks to the wall! You can easily remove it by spraying water on it again. This type of wallpaper is great for apartments, renting, if you’re unsure if you’re going to keep wallpaper in a room forever, or in our case- we wanted an easy installation!
As for the Wainscoting, I painted the wall white about half way up- we measured how hight up we were going to want the wainscoting and drew pencil lines so I didn’t paint past it. I had to do at least 4 coats of white paint. Our walls are a light blue/grey/green color- Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams to be exact (most commonly asked house question lol) anyway, I had to do a decent amount of coats to make sure it was all perfectly white and then Justin bought pvc board in different widths and got to cutting. Once the pieces were cut down, we measured how far apart to do each piece (about 18 in between each) glued it to the wall and then took a nail gun to all of it. I painted a final coat on the boards and wall to make sure everything was the same color.
Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer!
